My take is that now that the DJ-driven demand for vinyl is falling off,
and sales are already dropping preciptiously, the hype will trail off.
No Arny, you've got that all wrong (unless you are *distorting* again
which, of course, is highly likely) - it's CDs that are disappearing
rapidly. Vinyl continues to chunter on and with the flood of new hardware
(turntables, carts &c.) I supect it will only grow when the lofts have
been emptied and the owners of that hardware want to feed their
investments...
Hi Keith. I recently attended an audio fair in Copenhagen,
which is attended by collectors from all over the world.
This year, the interest in vinyl was so large, that the few
CD vendors were pushed down into the basement.
Don't be fooled. Vinyl is *totally* dead :-)) LOL

Hi Iain & keith,
There is more than ever vinyl and tt's at the audio shows, Son et Image
Montreal, German High End Show, Primedia, CES, Home Entertainment Show,
Cedia etc. etc. all dem'd and displayed vinyl replay. Anyone who now
thinks vinyl is *totally* dead obviously doesn't get out too much. All of my
many audiophile friends use both vinyl and CD and that isn't likely to
change. As far as new vinyl goes we're really spoilt for choice - take a
look at any show, there's always brisk business at the vinyl trade counters.
