I've been having some fun ABX-ing the coin-dropping segment of one of
Keith's recent pairs of downloads. Level-matched and time-matched they
sound different to be sure.

However, without reference to the original master from which the CD and LP
were made (which may not have been the same recording) it is strictly
speaking impossible to say which is more accurate.

On close visual analysis, it appears that the channels of the LP version
differ more than the CD version. A pirori, I'd expect them to be more
similar.

Could this be an example of the greater soundstage that is often ascribed to
the LP by vinylistas?
