Ahem - audio *equipment* is engineered.

Indeed, and a Leak Stereo 20 *is* an item of audio *equipment*.

You're doing pretty well if you can describe audio in general, and music
in particular, in engineering terms.

The OP wasn't describing music, he was describing a piece of equipment.

The odd flowery adjective can be forgiven to describe music, I feel.

I wasn't objecting to "the odd flowery adjective", I was objecting to
stuff that's clearly designed to impress the gullible, but actually means
bugger all. (and the OP *wasn't* describing music!)

I couldn't agree more. This fine and upstanding Danish gentleman was
choosing amongst his schooltime memories of english adjectives. If
he'd had a higher mark in English instead of playing too much
football, he would have been able to say "magistery and gleam" instead
of "arrogance and glance".

Don't diss the Danes - they give us bacon, mermaids and Sandi
Toksvig.

Mind you, they did also invent the story of the Emperor's New
Clothes.........

Have you seen his other ads using the same sort of descriptions? When I
see these I wonder just why he wants to sell them - as they obviously
can't be improved upon...

At his age I'd recommend switching from bikes to Hi-Fi - not the other way
round.
