Just got an HD satellite receiver. My TV has a DVI-D input but the box a
HDMI one so had to spend a fortune on a lead. And of course another for
audio. Connecting the analogue resulted in audio a lot lower than
everything else - despite the box output being on max - so I tried the
SPDIF, same thing.
How come makers agree on picture levels but not audio?
Also, anyone know a source of short HDMI-DVI leads? The only one I could
find is a metre long - 400mm would be more than enough. You can get ones
for Playstations of the correct length - but the DVI connections are wrong.
