Anyone here with 'mic savvy' who can say if the tech spec on the valve mic
I've just bought is OK?

(All looks positively *luvverly* to me but what TF do I know? :-)


Cut & paste from the online manual (formatting lost, of course):

Only I've kinda done the 'Cheepie Chinky Thing' - had one, sent it back for
a refund....

Well, it sounds perfectly OK to me, but what do I know? What did make me
larf is the 'rosy glow' of the valve (visible through a little red window in
the front of the mic) is actually an orange LED set in the valve base! It
is, I've looked closely and seen it! You can see it here (scroll 2/3 down):
