Default Which Blu Ray Player?

I am looking to buy a Blu Ray player. My question is: Can I find a blu
ray player that will be as good playing CD's as it will be for DVD's
and Blu Ray discs, or will I need to purchase a separate CD player? I
am not sure whether the quality components built into a $1000 blu ray
player will also be as good for CD's? Any opinions or suggestions
would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Reg

I think you would have a job to find one that isn't.

$1,000 for a Blu-ray player..??

Get real....

Do your researches and when you have, make me an offer for my 'spare'
Samsung BD-1500 + 5 for the postage - I will probably accept it as it is not
being used. (Condition all *as new* - naturally...)

It's a *brilliant* player for movies and stunning for CDs but all Blu-ray
players will have slower drawers/start-up times than a CD-only player as
they have got different laser focussing to **** about with, or summat
like....

What's 'RD500' - not a Yam by any chance?

@;-)

Still, the Oppos, BDP-83 and BDP-83SE, if you can get them in UK.

Gor Blimey! It's Dave XXXX..!!

Long time no speak, Dave - hope you are keeping well!! :-)

Funnily enough, I was thinking about you only the other day - all my 'LP
digitising', including the vinyl clips I've posted here lately like these
two:

http://www.moirac.adsl24.co.uk/showntell/EdgarMeyer.wav

http://www.moirac.adsl24.co.uk/showntell/KokokuLP.mp3

....comes through that little Ortofon transistor step-up you gave me! See it
on the go here on my MC200U:

(As a valvey, perhaps I shouldn't mention my 'digitising rig' is all solid
state!! ;-)

Anyway, that's a nice-looking little 'lab style' SET monobloc Dave - you
only got the one of 'em?

My website? It's only a page of my 'bikes, my Show N Tell page and some dumb
*manual everything* digital photography (ie pix taken with no automatic or
electronic aids) - no 'audio stuff' these days!!

@:-)

There's nothing like a bit of headroom.
