Btw, heard any 'French Horns' lately...??

Live, up front and personal.

Several times a week, sometimes for an hour or more at a
time.

The group of instrumentalists at church has grown to
include a French Horn player. I mic her instrument with
a Rode NT-1...

With a little creative work, I make her instrument sound
balanced with two trumpets.

So how come you found it necessary to try and fob us of
with a midi file then?

I never did any such thing.

That's not my understanding....

I have the file which Arny claimed to be a real French horn.
It was so obviously a Midi sample played from a keyboard,
that Arny fooled no-one except himself:-)

The discussion can be found on Arny's home group RAO.

(Especially foolish thing to do when one of our number is
an *industry professional*...!!)

You mean that infrequent poster who is a part time instructor at a
community college whose ears are so battle-worn that she can't hear
what's
wrong with the LP format?

I'm afraid I know not to whom you refer....

His use of the feminine pronoun leads one to suppose that
Arny refers to Jenn, a music professional and teacher, with
vast experience in music and musical repertoire, who
has gained the respect and admiration of all who have
contact with her.

As a small Sir Michael ("not a lot of people know that") Caine
aside, this same lady, Jenn, was invited by legendary trumpet
player Bill "Cat" Anderson (of the Duke Ellington Orchestra
and arguably the greatest high-note trumpet player of all
time) to his home, to discuss trumpet technique with him.
Imagine, what Jenn was able take back to her students.

Jenn also makes very good recordings of her own guitar
playing at home. She is a very talented and knowledgeable
lady. - no wonder Arny dislikes her:-))

OK, I've seen the name Jenn a few times - now I see where it fits in!!

;-)
