Vinyl wanted Urgent

Not to mention charity shops, so I won't.
I have heard of this person, but its probably not my scene, unless its on
a sampler somewhere. I definitely know the name from somewhere.. grr.
Brian
Charity shops are a pretty long shot for an artists not well-known
in the UK, and even less so here in Scandinavia.
Probably not my "scene" either, Brian. I don't know.
But I try to approach every project with professional
enthusiasm:-) When I get the LP I will post a snippet.
Cheers
Iain

I know a few people here have fine collections
of LPs so hopefully some one will be able to
help me out.
I am looking for LPs by Arturo Motta, a
Latin American band leader from the 1950s.
If anyone here has any vinyl by this orchestra,
I would very much like to borrow/rent it for
transcription.
Iain, when it comes to vinyl, eBay first and foremost is your 'friend':

OK, in that case, see below!

And when you're done with the LP, you know where to send it!!

I think I shall have the material I need in a few days.
So keep an eye open for Postman Pat:-)

24 titles have now been transcribed.
Here's an aperitif, already sounding quite good
after just the first pass.

Why have you quoted from one of my posts and then removed all of my
content?

When I began to reply to your post, I
snipped what was not relevant to audio and
the subject matter in hand, the recordings on
vinyl of Arturo Motta.
Unfortunately, there was nothing left.

Hah! Reminds me I'm waiting for both a 'Motta' and a 'Mottola' atm and the
Mottola guy is spamming me before I have even received the bloody record
I've paid for!
eBay seller 'Ferrit3D' - says there will be "coming this week PINK FLOYD
DARK SIDE FIRST ISSUE" if anyone is interested..??
Anyway very nice Iain, with an interesting acoustic - somewhere between a
Yamaha DSP's 'Nissen Hut With A Leaking Roof' and 'Half Empty Fish And Chip
Restaurant With Tiled Walls' settings I would guess...?? :-)
A far cry though from the one that's just finished he another fabulous
*natural sound* 1978 'Slavic' - Sylvia Sass doing great service to some
WagLieds on Hungaroton SLPX11940.
See it on this superb 'VinylDivas' site
http://www.vinyldivas.com/contentss.htm
How fabulous is that? :-)

So has the vinyl still not arrived?
I was asked off list if the very short Motta clip
I posted was a "Mottette" :-)

Yes. Very early fifties:-) I am not to make any changes
whatsoever, just get rid of the cereals. Some of the
material is rather reminiscent of Roberto Inglez (the
famous Scotsman:-)

Wonderful. The Slavic temperament beams through even the
sleeve pic.
Hungaroton is a pretty remarkable label. Their recording of
Bartok: "The Wooden Prince" written during WW1 has won
great acclaim. There is also a great deal of very interesting
jazz material on that label.
