So who owns it at the moment? I understood there were plans afoot to use
it as a museum of recording or something.

Unluess I have mis-skimmed this article, it appears to belong to EMI who
has debt problems and it's being hinted/alluded/suggested that the studio
is a victim of the Internet and 'digital' (distribution)...???

With tourism being the only active industry left in this country, it
would make good sense to turn it into a temple to the Beatles with
souves, some fun rides, novelty rock and a visitor's shop/caff &...

Good idea, they could pass an act of parliament forcing Paul Mcartney to
work behind the counter at the cafe 7 days a week, might stop him making
any more dreadful recordings.

It's strange: to be a succesful composer it seems you either need to be a
bit of a knobber (see Subject) or die tragically young?

Reminds me of this one:

Q: What is the difference between Beethoven and Andrew Lloyd Webber?

A: Beethoven is a composer who farted a lot; Andrew Lloyd Webber is a fart
who composed a lot!

Boom boom!

:-)
