Well my Ricoh Caplio R7 camera can record sound.

I bought it q4 2007, in January 2008 the lens would not open properly, so
because I wanted repaired quickly, I took it to some Ricoh Agent in/near
Dartford or Gravesend from where it then went to Germany. It was repaired in
a day or two and then returned by courier to me.

Two years later the lens failed again. (whilst taking an almost identical
picture). I was not in such a hurry, but this time I was emailed a label
and told to arrange collection by a carrier. The camera again went to
Germany where it was repaired in a couple of days and returned to me. I was
not charged which was nice.
