Can one still get the stylus for the concorde cart as fitted to many
Technics parallel tracking record playing decks. I find mine is still
working well and being blind I have no problems with putting the arm down in
the wrong place so I'd like to keep it going but it seems to need cleaning a
lot of late and ins a touch sibilant.
Also the Technics has annoying but intermittent fault where it fails to
turn off its motor when it puts the arm back to the rest position. Opening
the lid will stop it or sometimes just a light touch on the arm. One assumes
there is a switch somewhere which is probably a bit sticky after all these
years. I know that you cannot really get spares for these old decks, which
is a big shame as it performs remarkably well. Its an SL5.
