Yes, that's what I thought - there is a minimum below which degradation will
begin, but above which no amount of tweaking will be audible. Makes complete
sense to me.

I don't think the argument was that the interconnect carrying the digital
signal made a difference, it was that the speaker cables FROM the Arcam
Black Box 50 were now able to show a difference...

line level signal at say 3V, compared to say 30V at speaker level, so a
given cross section/quality will make much less...
