I got a Supra X-ZAC and it does seem to sound better than the "cheapie" Toslink cable that came with my Meridian DAC. What improvement(s) did you notice? -- Wally www.art-gallery.myby.co.uk On webcam: Black Cat In Coal Cellar |

What improvement(s) did you notice? Hi Wally, Mainly an improvement in high frequency "quality". The cheapie cable that came with the DAC sounded too "edgy" and a little "bass shy". By comparison, the X-ZAC sounds a bit sweeter (less edgy, less sibilant) and hence the sound balance has, to me at least, shifted more towards the neutral balance that I was looking to achieve. Thomas (System: Marantz CD player, Meridian DAC, MF amplifier, Audiovector speakers). |
