A block of RCA connectors on my 8000A MkII self destructed, as they
do, and it's about time I got this sorted. Is it still possible to buy
the parts? Are they easy to fit? I only have a little experienced of
electrical work - practically none with PCBs.

Unless you're constantly unplugging them, there's no reason why they
should self destruct. But they were never designed as anything other than
a semi permanent connection - you'd need something like an XLR for mobile
etc use.

It depends on whether they had special parts made or used stock ones. All
I could suggest is a trawl through the various websites to see if anyone
does a similar type if it's PCB mount.

Maplin, RS, CPC and Rapid would be a good start.
