Have you been to the doc? It might be wax. I've suffered on and off over the
years and a good syringing brings back the HF.

Drop[ off in HF response is normally an indicator of noise induced
hearing loss.
A recent report by The Technion suggests Vitamin E can actually reverse
some types of hearing loss.
