Soon after I turned 40 the eyesight started to go. Now, since turning 50

I
have noteiced that one ear has better HF response than the other. Today I
was calibrating the replay side of a tape recorder using a test tape. I
could hear the 10KHz tone but when the 12.5KHz tone came up I couldn't

hear
a thing! Me ears are shot to pieces.

Have you been to the doc? It might be wax. I've suffered on and off over the
years and a good syringing brings back the HF.

Roy.

Drop[ off in HF response is normally an indicator of noise induced
hearing loss.
A recent report by The Technion suggests Vitamin E can actually reverse
some types of hearing loss.
