FWIW When I wanted some minor service work done on my Meridian CD
transport I simply phoned Meridian, and then posted the item directly
to them for service. Their charges seemed quite reasonable to me, and
they returned the units promptly. Do they not do the same for their
speakers?
I did contact BS a while ago however they told me they would not deal
directly with me, and that I would have to go through a stockist,
OK. Shame. I am dissapointed/puzzled as they seemed quite happy to service
the 200 Transport when I contacted them, and were very helpful
this was Seven Oaks, who were very 'off' about such an old pair of
speakers, would/could not give me a price and were generally dismissive
so I gave up.
Alas, some dealers would prefer to sell you new kit. Indeed, I suspect some
have no real service ability at all, and would farm this out anyway. In
this case maybe to Meridian, but perhaps to someone else.
Slainte,
Jim
