Its an Ebay advert for a pair of Leak 3090 speakers.

I thought that my Tannoy Yorks were a bit on the big side but these
are an inch shy of 4ft tall!

I wonder what they sound like? Anyone any idea?

Best to all the New Year!

David

The 3090 was an update on the Leak 2075. On the 2075s the separate bass
TL uses a 15" foil/foam/foil sandwich driver.

I know the old 2075s, and they benefit from having the old reversible
electrolytics in the crossovers replaced by film caps (you'll need lots
of paralleled 10uf ones for the bass section!).

I used to work in an independant Hifi shop and we once ordered some B
stock Pioneer speakers as they were cheap and we were always getting kids
wanting cheap speakers. They turned up and were about 5' tall with two 15"
bass units, an 8" mid and dome tweeters all in a real wood veneer. They
needed a meaty amp to drive them but boy! could they shake the windows or
what! At first we thought what a bargain but it took ages to find a
customer who had room for them.
