Default Quad 405: dud electros ?

Hi to all the Quad fans,

I have been refurbishing a circa 1977, Quad 405 that has been long out of
use.

The dark red, PCB electros were found to have all completely failed - the
47 uF and 100uF ones on the amp PCBs tested virtually open circuit. The
10uF, 40 volt bi-polar ones on the triac PCB had depolarised, becoming caps
of about 65 uF and only a few volts.

All the caps are unusual in that they appear to be *hermetically sealed* in
hard plastic cases with epoxy filling around the leads. I have seen the
same caps fail the same way in old 405s before.

Any info on these caps ( maker ?) or comments ?

........ Phil
