Anyone here got the Bayer DT100 cans?, is it me or do they sound very
coloured in comparison to most anything else?..

They're dreadful by modern standards.

They have been around for about 40 yrs ! Simply an industry workhorse.

Graham

Can't for the life of me think why they stayed the industry workhorse for
such a long time.

The BBC ?

Sure, spare part were readily available with several
impedances to choose from. Closed back of course for studio use but to me
they sounded dull on speech and music flat.... and the cord was not at
all
rugged. For broadcast work they uncomfortable, sweaty in a warm studio.
Good riddance to DT100's.

Ever tried the DT150s ?

Graham

Yes, considerably better.

Mike
