Not sure if it proves anything at all :-) But have a listen if you
like.
Oh god! I've just been transported back to primary school, sitting on
the floor waiting for "music and movement" on the Home Service.
Do you remember that famous excerpt from Childrenīs Hour (David
Davis etc) "Now children, take hold of your balls, and throw them
high in the air"
Reminds me that, after basketball practice at the secondary (Grammar,
aksherly) school I went to, the Gym teacher always used to shout 'Balls
to me' at the end of the session!
I had totally forgotten about Music and Movement, which was always
followed by one of those miniature bottles of milk 1/3, wasn't it?
Oh yes - which hurt your eyes if you drank it too quickly in the winter,
when it was freezing cold!
(I have always thought the point at which this country started to turn
to **** was the day they stopped Free School Milk!)

That's right. Then you had to put your head down on the desk and
pretend to be asleep for 15 minutes.
Which, of course was never going to happen - not *to order*, just like
that....
....except that it did! :-)

Not in my school - there was a huge log fire in a grate, and the milk
crate spent the morning in front of it. The milk was vile after a few
hours of that. I always rushed to get the bottle furthest from the
file.
(I have always thought the point at which this country started to turn

I still remember the chants "Maggie is a cow, we want milk!"

That is ****ing gruesome - probably gave you an early insight into what

My sister in law's picture was on School Milk bottles (cartons?) at one
point, I have been told in the past!
(No comment.... ;-)

Our chant was
"Maggie Thatcher - milk snatcher"
Did you guys also have the 1/3 pint of orange juice at school as well?

Not juice, from memory it was a rather weak squash.

I've got the original...
A copy of a copy of a copy, but still well worth a listen. Obviously an
entire production run by maiden aunts.
