like.

That mic certainly looks like the one I had, but it sure sounds a whole
lot better!! Seems to be quite quiet?
(Hoping the replacement I ordered turns up tomorrow!! :-)

Yup. Not too sure why they bothered with the tube though? At least,
it doesn't seem to do any harm :-)

The idea of the 'tube' is supposed to be extra 'warmth' and
'smoothness'...??
I want a valve mic to compare with the mics I've already got - tbh, I'm
not expecting that it'll blow them away but I *am* curious....

Pretty good. I would have been interested to hear a
bell tree also.

Oh god! I've just been transported back to primary school, sitting on
the floor waiting for "music and movement" on the Home Service.

Sounded very good, btw.

Do you remember that famous excerpt from Childrenīs Hour (David
Davis etc) "Now children, take hold of your balls, and throw them
high in the air"
I had totally forgotten about Music and Movement, which was always
followed by one of those miniature bottles of milk 1/3, wasn't it?

That's right. Then you had to put your head down on the desk and
pretend to be asleep for 15 minutes.
