Given you started it, just how inferior do you think you are?

Not surprising from industry types who hang around in hobbyist
newsgroups, I suppose.

Err, it's called 'audio'. Something you've ignored for years. If it were
'hi-fi' it could be thought of as a hobbyist group. BTW, how does your pal
Churches fit in to your definition? I seem to remember you being up his
a**s more than anyone else here.

I suppose. So I christened him Kitty. Kit is short for Keith

It is? First time I heard that in 63 years....

An abbreviation for either Keith or Christopher.

(Making it up as he goes along again! ;-)

so it seemed very apt - especially as he hates it.

Sorry, I couldn't care less - knock yourself out. It helps identify the
members of the Attack Pack, if nothing else....

Methinks you do protest too much...

Some people feel vulnerable on motorcycles; and many feel vulnerable on
very small bikes - here's me on a monkey bike, the other day:

http://www.moirac.adsl24.co.uk/showntell/MonkeyBike.wmv

How 'feeling vulnerable' do I look?

Take a good look at that old jiffer - do you really think he gives a ****
about Usenet ****s hiding behind false names and email addresses trying
to work silly, schoolboy mindgames?

Here's another clip about a week later:

http://www.moirac.adsl24.co.uk/shown...eNewShocks.wmv

Spot the difference - there are two (not counting the jumper)....

Are you feeling petulant?

I was unable to "spot the difference" as both links are "HTTP-404 file not
found",
I think I would've quite liked to see the footage, oh well.

I changed my mind and took the clips off my webpage. I might put them back
up - check again later.

Are you (and your chum Arny) really comfortable squandering precious 'open
comms' time with this sort of drivel?

Not to mention the continuing 'OT' aspect....

??

Since when has Dave (or indeed anyone else on this ng) been a "chum" of
Arny's?

Just because they both criticise your posts doesn't mean they have anything
else in common, nor that they somehow or other consitute a "pack"

David.

For the benefit of the Lurkers, I would like to draw their attention to the
uk.rec.audio charter:

http://www.usenet.org.uk/uk.rec.audio.html

Unless I mistaken, I see the phrase 'hi-fi' mentioned no less than four
times in the first paragrah and it doesn't seem to mention anything else
much...??

Thus it makes this a *hobbyist* group in my book (and even Mr Plowman's - by
his own description above), especially as there are plento of 'pro' and
other specialist groups available.

So ignore the *trade types* leering about in here trying to impress and lets
be having those 'my Dansette/Mark Levinson is playing up' posts...!!

BTW, how does your pal
Churches fit in to your definition? I seem to remember you being up his
a**s more than anyone else here.

I don't do 'babyspeak' - what is 'a**s'...??

I don't know how many people are in the haboit of reading a group's charter
before posting, not many I'd guess.

I assumed when I joined that since it was called "uk.rec.*audio* it was
about "audio", not "HiFi".

Perhaps it needs either a new name or a new charter, since the present name
and charter are at odds with each other.

David.

Understandable, given the group's name; even more so when you see a constant
stream of posts putting ordinary, domestic 'hifi' down - 'Dixon's hi-fi' was
the last disparaging remark of only a few days ago that I recall...??

Perhaps it needs either a new name or a new charter, since the present
name and charter are at odds with each other.

No, it's much simpler than that: there's not enough UK-based 'audio' or
'hifi' interest to go round as it is and it shouldn't be beyond the wit of
anyone here to be able to succesfully combine the two - all it would take is
for a tiny few to stop try to block out anything other than intense
techy/electronic topics and treating the place like their private clinic.

I personally enjoy the 'non hifi' topics - recording studio stuff for
example and I prefer to see general traffic of interesting discussions
between forum members who are perhaps like-minded but have other related
interests to mention, rather than the forum go to waste with fortnight-long
silences. (As do 'others' when it suits them, but start shrieking 'OT' when
it starts to drift outside their own comfort zones....)

YMMV - all I know is if it slumps into silence again I'm off for good. I
don't do necrophila....

I intend to use this group to discuss fish.

I had some excellent haddock for dinner yesterday.

Certain people's brains will have just exploded.

We are well rid if them.

Was it the full bit rate haddock, mostly get the compacted versions here.
