Default WTB: 2x 80mm mid-range drivers

Hi

I was careless in transporting a pair of 3-way speakers. I am looking
for a pair of 80mm/3" mid-range drivers to repair it, ideally 40W/16Ohm
but I will take anything as long as the size matches.

Regards,

Chris

Are the correct units (from the speaker maker) NLA? Drive units vary a
great deal other than in just power handling and impedance, so just
bunging in anything that will fit may not have good results.

They need to be specified as nearly as possible to match what you took
out. That must be your starting point.

May help if you tell us what you can about the make and model number of the
speakers. If the makers still exist they may also be able to supply new
units or suggest who they think can.

Slainte,

Jim

Speaker manufacturers usually supply replacement drivers for only somewhat
inflated prices.

Who made your speakers? Contact them!

If you don't come up with exact replacment driver(s) the sound of your
speaker will change and it will be less useful in a stereo pair.
