a consumer base not local to their dealership, an example being that

pre-owned recording they want, thats where the internet delivers
the goodies.

Good. All you have to do now is to twig what I actually explained I
required from said dealers. :-) Hint given below...

Hint: What I was asking about isn't simply that they have a website on
which discs are listed and you can select ones to buy over the web. I've
been doing that via the 'web thingymbob' for some years. [1] If you use a
specific dealer in Jazz who meets what I explained about being
knowledgeable and helpful, please let me know. If I'd wanted a list of
discs, I'd have asked for it. :-)

[1] Indeed in the past I actually wrote websites for one or two dealers and
labels (classical music, though, so I guess you won't have noticed back
then).

detail, for the sale of few jazz records, especially when you, yourself,
haven't the first notion on the jazz genre?

Maybe, half expect such and exchange of email, if your request was for
rare collectible vinyl recordings, but from your original post you
appear to be seeking out SACDs and/or "the more unusual or 'audiophile'
items" how many different (geeky) versions of those exist??

A simple search at **AllMusic should reveal most artist's full
discography (main albums, compilations, singles/eps, DVD and other)
along with release dates, track lists, label releases, catalogue number
and all versions and format releases. AllMusic will also provide an
overview of the artist, reviews on most releases, album credits,
composers, and other recordings in which the track appears. Plus vast
amounts of information even for the most anal amongst us.

do Glasgow - Sidney. But I did London - Hawai'i quite a lot. Tended to
prefer a stopover TBH.
