In article ,
says...
Either you have power on the illum wire when you shouldnt, or in the DSC
you
have the illumination set to "always on".
Does your aerial have a built in booster which now for some reason isnt
getting power from the Blau?? This would give poor FM reception...
Mine is good, although FM lock on some channels isn't as good as I had
hoped...
DSC? On the Blaupunkt menu didn't see anything about illumination
settings, other than a mention in the manual about wiring in
illumination to the dash dimmer.
DSC- dynamic software control or something like that. Does your set have a
DSC button? Inside you'll find many menus for setting up the radio like the
display colour, the brightness of the display, the start-up volume, traffic
report volume, etc etc etc and one of the options (at least on the London)
is whether you want the illumination :
1) On all the time regardless of the igntion or set being on or off.
2) On with the set on and off with the set off
and another menu for
Whether the illum. wire goes to 12v or 0v when the vehicle dash lights come
on if you have selected 2) above.
Connecting the illum. wire to a dimmer supplied 0 - 12v supply will cause
the set illumination to dim in accordance when you have selected either 1)
or 2) above.
Hope this helps.
