Question:

What does 'no travellers' refer to?

It's a sign put up by publicans who don't want all the copper and brassware
nicked out of their toilet facilities...

'Travellers' = 'Pikeys' = 'Tinkies' = *not* true Gypsies who came originally
from Pakistan (not Ireland) via Egypt and whom all live in Rumania and Spain
now....

(Forget the silly books, websites etc. and watch the movie 'Snatch' for a
*far* more accurate depiction... ;-)

You have. This thread is cross-posted there :-(

Ain't hard for anyone to *uncrosspost* it.

(If they *really* want to.....!! ;-)

There are very (VERY) few English who know the difference.

I was looking round LiveJournal last night, and there was a friend of a
friend, an Indian guy, living in India. In his profile, he used
the word "paucity". How many English even know that word?

There would be a dearth of them.

Yes, very few of us indeed. Thank goodness we have you Ozzies to teach us
about spelling and, even more important, beeah. Miller may be weak and
watery, but Foster's is weak, watery, and overpriced.

Only a panjandrum of perspicacity would care about that.

Agreed. Not all gypsies are tramps and thieves.

Sure we do. Pau City is in the Pyrenees.

Paulie rolls over and plays dead on command. Last time he surfaced, the
command was "God wants NATO to perish in a cauldron of flames in
Iraq." We
haven\'t learned what the new command is. I\'m thinking of trying out
something related to rogue icebergs.

AH Georgie , your a dickhead.

Now don\'t insult my friend George, especially with bad spelling.
George is one of a kind, and we should all be grateful for that.

Well I will concede that , but I am not a septic . Truthfully though
this is Usenet and spelling is pretty much irrelevant excluding a few
anal drop kicks .

You present the image you want to, dude.

By the way, you\'re flying low. Not something I wanna see. But hey, it\'s
you image.
