hi all new to this group as i have only just got my first car. i have a grundig 303 unit in there (rover 218 1.9TD) it has written on the metal case of it "cav 5913" so i am assuming thats the actual code, thing is, when i turn it on it reads "3104" and then changes to "safe" a few seconds later. i have read so far i need to press and hold AS and that is having no effect at all now, also...

got a set of infinity ref speakers for my front doors; hooked em upto my amp.... and must say they sound absolutely rubbish... my god!!! I'm actually convinced my factory speakers in the front doors sounded just as good as the infinity's!!! what the hell happened?? they fit flush with the door... bracket around the speaker connected to the door to make it fit flush with the door... did I not...

i recently purchashed some stuff that might(!) have enabled me to connect the alfa connect+ headunit to my ipod via the cd-changer output, but although some of the operations worked, the installer could get no sound out ... so the connect+ headuntit had some strange connection to the autochanger i guess.. has anyone achieved success here thanks a lot

I connected up my amp, and speakers. there's a whistle noise coming from the speakers, as I accelerate.. is this alternator whine? Is it caused by a ground connection? if I re-ground my amp to another place, will it stop this noise? also my front speakers dont sound the best. Are there any know problems with the Nakamichi CD500 as my unit keeps locking up the CD section so it won't play or eject disks the only way to get it back is to use the reset button, it only seems to happen with burnt/MP3 discs. I don't get an error message as the manual suggests I should.
