pioneer cd multichanger by
Peter Sharpe
Does anyone know where to get a mechanical schematic or spare parts for one
of these? Its playing up when it loads the cartridge, and im guessing that
the drive gears are worn out.
Pete.

Geir Eivind Mork
A friend of mine has a 1978 Mustang and i suppose it's way before they
introduced a standarized adapter. the back consists of power cords and
connectors to each individual speakers. Anyone who have a connection
scheme or knowledge of an adapter that fits?

can this be done ? UPDATE by
howard
thanks for ur replay
this is what iam think.
So if i could get the cd changer to decode the mp3 info
off the cd's and feed the id3 tag info back up to the head unit, would it
come up on the display ??
(1) The IP BUS has left\right audio in\outs, so i would be able to put the
decoded mp3 audio back to the head unit.

Can this be Done ?? by
howard
Hi
ok i got a Pioneer Avic x1 sat\nav head unit, the internal drive can play
dvd, cd and mp3 (on cd), i also have a Pioneer cdx-p670 cd changer fitted
(non mp3), the two
units are wired useing the IP BUS system.
When i try to play an mp3 cd in the changer i do not get
any info up on the display, is this cos there is no id3 tag
info gettin to the head unit, as the cd changer is not mp3 ?

steering remote for pioneer DEH -7500MP by
sam
does anyone know if its possible to connect your steering remote (in my
case on a peugeot 306) to this head unit? I am guessing its not
possible as there's no mention of it in the installation manual but
seems surprising as I thought most modern units supported steering
remote controls....any info much appreciated

Porsche 911 replace speakers and amp or Deck?? by
[email protected]
I ... NEED... to upgrade the audio in my 1999, 911. Unfortunately, i only
have room for 4 x 4" component speakers, an amp and a deck - no room for a
sub. The advice i have so far leans towards a new Deck, Amp and Front two
speakers. But i was thinking of keeping th factory deck and adding an
Audison Amp with four Focal 100KP speakers.
Any comments or advice?
thanks,
gp

Merc C class CD/Radio removal by
Aidan Sherwin
Can someone tell me how to remove the CD/Radio unit in the current
Mercedes C class - it's an Audio 20 unit.
I want to have a look at the back to see if I can plug an MP3 player
in there to an AUX or CD changer port.
Thanks in advance
Aidan

Any experts on Ford MP3/CD/SatNav - some answers please... by
Mixin' Sjogren
*MP3*
I'm interested in Ford CD Players that can also handle MP3s, compatible with
my (UK) Focus Ghia 2003.
OR are there any MP3-compatible CD changers they do? That way the head unit
only has to be CD changer compatible. This would be good if I go for the
9000 SatNav head unit for example.
I have found the 6000 MP3 which looks basic but does the trick.

Radio not working on Sony CDX-M610 by
Mark
Hi, The radio has developed a fault. The CD works fine and sometimes for a
short time so does the radio, then it loses signal and won't work for ages
then it comes back for a short while just to loose the signal again. Have
checked the aerial connection on back of unit and it seems ok. Can't look at
all the cable though as it goes up the door pillar to aerial at middle front
of roof. Anyone...

Crackling and Sound Drop Outs by
Simon Dean
Hi There,
Im not quite sure what to say, but hoping someone can give me an insight...
Just upgraded the car radio couple weeks back... Got a Clarion DXZ748RMP
or something, in a 94 Nissan Primera. I hooked up the iPod to the back
through the Aux, and was mostly satisifed with everything, sounded
pretty nice even though I had crabby JBL's 4x6 120 Watt max peak in the
front.

Fitted a new Amp - it's cutting out by
PencilHead
Hi,
Just finished fitting a new Toxic TX1000 amp - it worked fine while I
was testing it in the garage. With the engine running or when starting
the car the amp shuts down (in protect mode). I've checked for shorts
carefully and can only judge that it's not overheating. The power is
taken directly from the Battery and it has a solid ground.
The car is a Clio. Could the battery or alternator be...

What Ford stereos can play MP3-CDs? by
Mixin' Sjogren
Hi all, I'm looking to upgrade the RDS 5000 EON cassette player in my 2003
Focus for a CD player that can handle MP3s.
I have found a few on eBay which are the 6000 style but with an MP3 graphic
on the front, and are grey in colour. That's all very well but I was hoping
for more features, e.g. in-dash multi-CD capable (like the 6006) or SatNav
facilities (like the 9000).
Does anyone know...

Golf GTI mk3; where is Sony I/F box located? by
mark
Evening all
I have a mk3 golf gti 16v with the original Sony stereo (XR-6859RDS). I
removed it a few months ago for a 'better' unit, decided the radio reception
was worse, and put back the original Sony unit.
Now i have got no display on the Sony unit, but i know all fuses are fine
and power is reaching the unit fine.
I contacted Sony in car security who have advised me the unit must be

Alright,
Big Newbie here so please bear with me.
I have a 97 Ford Fiesta which has a factory fitted Stereo (its much
bigger than a standard stereo) and also has 2 moulded speakers in the
front doors.
I'm looking into getting a 2nd hand MiniDisc player (with MDLP).

Which Head Unit - Pioneer or Sony? by
Zascar
Hey all,
I'm trying to decide between two head units and would like to get your
opinion on which one is the better buy. I'm trying to decide between
the Pioneer DEH-P7700MP and the Sony CDX7700. I've always loved Sony
head units, I've had 2 of them in the past and i hear this is a nice
one. I've never really been a huge pioneer fan, however their new
range
seem to be really nice.
