Hi all, I've just added a Sony CDX-56 10 pack CD auto-changer to a UK spec. Passat using a Connects2 Sony adaptor part AVGS005. The HU is an older Phillips Gamma 4 (Gamma under volume control). All works fine, but I can only get it to work correctly with both phono connections half out (center pin only connecting) of the adaptor. If I push both phono connectors fully into the Connect2 adaptor...

I'm planning to buy the Alpine CDM-9807RB soon and was wondering if it was a good buy. Does anyone else have this CD player? What are it's good and bad points? I want to build a box for this 10inch sub I bought. Got it for very cheap. It is a 8-ohm sub with nominal power of 175W and max power of 350W. There is no TS parameters available for it. Is it better to build a box too small or too big as I have no idea what the volume should be for a 10" What is the general volume which will give the best SQ as that is what I am looking for.
