Changing double DIN stereo? by Daz N
Hi, I want to change the stereo in my 2004 A4, the current one fitted is a double DIN cassette and in-dash 6 CD changer. What can I fit in the double DIN gap? If I buy a standard single DIN radio and facia plate adapter will this be made to fit the upper or lower part of the gap left? I thought about a Blaupunkt Woodstock DAB54 (when they are released) and

Sub Encloseure construction guide? by Jim
Hey what do you think about using a nail gun with glue instead of screws? Reason I'm asking is I'm getting a shop to make my next box as its cheaper for me. I normally pre drill holes and then screw down but are nails good enough? Thanks Jim

AVIC-X1 (N1) Forums by Ant
Hi, I've set up an online forum for owners of AVIC-X1 (N1 in the USA) satellite navigation systems. Use it to discuss how the system works, for help and advice, to post your wishlists and to notify about any bugs you might have found. It's also open to other makes and models of sat nav systems. Hopefully, it can become the number one resource on the web! The all important address is:

Listening to mp3 recordings of radio progs in the car - Advice wanted by David White
I have built up a collection of Radio 4 and Radio 7 programmes on my PC which are stored as mp3 files. I wish to listen to these in my car. Currently I record them onto audio cassette and then play these in the car but I wish to move to a system which does not use cassette. Can anyone recommend a solution? I am looking at spending under £100 and am thinking about using either an mp3 compatible...

Skoda radio/navigation combination dismantle by Ad
In 2000/2001 Some Skada's were delivered with a radio/navigation combination built into the console under the dash, above the climatecontrol unit. The system was also built into Audi's and VW's. The problem is, how to get this system out of the dashboard for the purpose of installing a CD-exchanger cable. Does anybody know how to dismantle this unit from the car? -- m.v.g.

Annoyed With Halfords by Paul Maskell
Last Sunday (22nd Feb) I bought an Alpine 9807RB CD tuner from Halfords and after they fitted it for me, I discovered that it didn't have CDTEXT (which I really wanted). On Wednesday night I inserted a CD into the player and it wouldn't play. It wouldn't even eject the CD! The following day I went to Halfords to tell them of the problem and the assistant disconnected the unit and tried to get the...

Sony MP40 in Xsara 2 by Acedrew
I've just installed a Sony MP40 Head Unit in an Aug 2000 Citreon Xsara 2, using the Connects2 Display & Steering wheel adaptor kit. This replaced the standard Phillips 22RC220/35Z Radio/Cassette. It works great, but I am a little confused by the fact that the old Phillips head unit had 3 multiblock connectors, whereas the Sony only actually uses 2. Therefore one of the multiblocks is left...
