2 amps in car by
strawberry
400w and 600w, how shall i wire them in, one is already connected, to make
life easier i assume remote can be bridged from one to the other, but i
would imagine power supply needs to be seperate.
will this kill my battery? should i be thinking about a second battery or
capaciter?

Kenwood Z838W - repair or replace? by
Robert Peacock
Hi,
I've had this head unit for a couple of years now and it has been great but
it has developed a fault.
It has constant mini drop outs (just split second but noticeable) on all
radio stations and the cd playback drops out to either silence or a
screeching sound with bumps in the road - requiring the dash to be thumped
to get it playing again (though still with minor dropouts)

Fitting a Panasonic stereo in a 2002 Peugeot 206 by
[email protected]
Just bought a 2002 Peugeot 206 GLX and would like to put my Panasonic
CQ-RDP383N MP3 stereo in.
1. I've heard that multiplexing can now make life difficult. How do I
know if my car uses this? If it does, will it affect fitting my
panasonic?
2. Will my Carion cd changer that is already fitted work with my
Panasonic stereo? I've heard they're incompatible?

What brand of radio is in my 2006 Megane? by
Bananaman
Hello.
I've just bought a 2006 Renault Megané and I want to buy a Connects2
iPod adapter. They sell two versions, one for the Philips HU and one
for the VDO HU. Now, I have no idea which one I have and I don't want
to spend £200 to buy both!
Does anyone know which I have (the chap at the dealership didn't)?
I'll try to describe it. It's a single CD with six radio pre-set
buttons...

Tape stuck in HU by
Mike G
Thaught I'd clean a demag the heads on my Kenwood head unit.
Big mistake. It's swallowed the cleaning cassette and wont give it back.
The Maplin head cleaner I used has what looks like a fabric tape, which
is probably the problem.
It's a Kenwood KRC 678R with a built in cassette and CD magazine controller.
It must have some sort of cassette sensor, as normally, if a cassette in in
the head, the...

Aux input on Focus/C-Max 6000CD unit by
robh
Hi all,
Just got a new C-Max which has the standard 6000CD unit. It has an aux
button on front panel and I'd like to connect a MP3/PDA to the in car
audio. I know other ford models (fusion) with the 6000CD can have a 3.5mm
jack in the glovebox as an option so what is the answer to getting it to
work on my C-max.
Is it just a case of picking up the correct pins with a suitable lead or is...

Brodit Clips by
Richard
Hi
I am considering getting a Brodit clip for my Clio (the one that clips
on roughly around the level of the radio) I did consider the Dashmount
one but i have been told that this pushes the radio out and it looks
pretty poor, can anyone give any feedback on the Brodit one though?
How does it look overall?
Is there any large gaps?

Amp question by
Martin
Can you use different amp makes to the head unit make? (like home HiFi) or
is it like the CD changer and H/U needing same control logic?
If same what Sony amp for sound quality?
If any what £50 - £150 again for sound quality - H/U is 4x30W RMS, want 2x50
to 2x80 for the door speakers which will be Infinty 605CS.
Thanks

connecting car stereo to mains supply by
[email protected]
I'm trying to run a car stereo from a mains supply, but I'm a bit
clueless about wiring it up, and I wonder if some bright spark out
there can help me. Briefly, I have a power pack which provides a
regulated 5 amp 12 volt DC supply. The stereo harness has five wires (I
can deal with the speaker cables OK!): a yellow wire marked 'Battery +
12V', an orange wire marked 'Auto antenna', a white wire...
