The gamma radio in my 98 Passat has developed a problem where it will only pick up very strong radio signals, and also it fails to detect my cd changer. It still plays cassettes no problem. This is a 6-disk in dash CD player that no longer lets me play CD. The Radio is fine, but pressing CD just gives a No CD error on the display - no error codes. Have tried removing it from the car and left if without power for a few hours, but it's the same on re-fitting and code entry. Any ideas?

I have just had some repairs done to my 1992 Peugeot 309 GLD. The repairer disconnected the battery while the work was done and now the car radio won't work.
