Hi, Can anyone assist with a numpty guide to removing the Clarion DXZ428R

Kenwood head unit and Ipod by
[email protected]
I'm thinking of purchasing a Kenwood head unit with dedicated Kenwood
Ipod adapter. My hope is that because I can control the Ipod from the
head unit, and because it apparently displays the artist/album/title
and allows me to search, I can tuck the Ipod away in the glovebox and
forget about it.
Does anyone have any experience of this combination?
Specifically, does the head unit really allow...

VW Passat gamma radio/cd problem by
Kenny of the Fells
The gamma radio in my 98 Passat has developed a problem where it will only
pick up very strong radio signals, and also it fails to detect my cd
changer. It still plays cassettes no problem. Both of these have happened at
the same time. After a bit of googling, it appears that there may be an
antenna amplifier somewhere - presumably both this and the cd changer are
powered from the radio? If...

Removing Mondeo Radio to fit iPod adapter - need advice by
David Lowther
Hi,
CD/Radio marked ""6000 CD RDS E O N" / "CD Changer Compatible". Fitted in a
Mondeo 2001 / Y
I've got the removal tool and can pull out the unit, but not far enough to
see round the back, let alone reach round and unplug anything. Something is
stopping it from coming out any further.
I'm a bit concerned about pulling any harder in case it unplugs the wires at

Ford 6006E RDE EON - No CD Error by
Keith A
This is a 6-disk in dash CD player that no longer lets me play CD.
The Radio is fine, but pressing CD just gives a No CD error on the display -
no error codes.
Have tried removing it from the car and left if without power for a few
hours, but it's the same on re-fitting and code entry.
Any ideas?

Radio Code required by
Alasdair
I have just had some repairs done to my 1992 Peugeot 309 GLD. The
repairer disconnected the battery while the work was done and now the
car radio won't work.
I believe the radio is the original one fitted to the car.
If I take the car to a Peugeot dealer, can they tell me what the code
is from the VIN?

Another aerial question by
[email protected]
The reception in my Skoda Octavia is deteriorating noticeably. It has
been suggested that this is a problem with the aerial rather than the
radio, which is c***p anyway, but has been receiving fm reasonably
until recently.
Any suggestions ? Thanks

Emerson speakers - opinions + Install recommendations REQ. by
Kevin Scott
Hi all, I've been looking to upgrade my motors factory fit speakers and
came across these.
http://www.autotoys.com/x/cust/product.php?productid=1875&cat=75&page=1.
I
intended on spending much more on replacements than the cost of these and
I'd never heard of Emerson before so I'm hesitant. But they do seem very
well speced and very well priced, as did many of their products I found...

power supply to the transmitter is always on even when the key is out.

spherical speaker enclosure by
[email protected]
I remember reading somewhere that spherical enclosures are ideal
shape..is that correct? debatable?
Incidentally, I live in India where we get *Very Cheap* earthen pots,
called "matkas" which are near perfect spheres with 'mouths emerging
from protruding necks', used for storing water, and they keep the water
inside cool (as they are porous I guess).
I wish to build a speaker enclosure using...

I'm guessing your A4 is the Mk1 (B5) shape. Not 100% sure about this as
both my current and previous cars have been the MkII (B6), however I
previously had a 1999 A3 which used the same connectors so...

I'm sure that some people are going to think that this is someone

abuse them. But I believe this is a genuine post.
Trust me, this was a genuine...
