Fitting a Sony CD changer by
John Green
I have a Seat Alhambra fitted with a Ford 2007 unit and have been given a
Sony CDX-605 changer along with a remote RF output controller (51RF). I
believe I should be able to get the RF unit to work through the aerial
socket of the existing head unit but have no instructions on wiring the
power up and I have no expertise. There are three wires on the RF unit:
Red, yellow and black. I have...

1994 Escort and JVC-KDS891R by
The Human Stoat
Hi,
I'm an utter novice at car audio and am shopping around for a budget mp3-CD
player for my 1994 Escort Equipe saloon to replace the factory-fitted
cassette. The cheapest I've found so far has been the JVC-KDS891R from
www.caraudiodirect.co.uk for £99.
Can anyone tell me if I'll be able to just plug this into my car, or will I
need to get any new gubbins to make it work? I'm not expecting...

Anyone got a Sony XM423SL Amp? by
Ben Cowell
Thats the "Custom Fit" amp, could you tell me please whats involved in the
fitting? where does the amp get its power?
How does it turn on and off? Is it any good for a noticeable improvement?
Better still, has anyone got one fitted to a modern multiplex Citroen with
the standard fit CD players?
I've seen one new under £50 and think it could be worthwhile. I've already
got Sony 17cm custom fit...

Which sub for me....out of these brands. by
Jim
I would like to get a new sub and make a custom box for it. Not too sure
whether sealed or ported at this type but open to comments. I'm looking for
nice control bass which is tight with clean sounds and some SPL. Currently
have the JL10WO which is pretty good but I need more now. Got around 290w
from a bridged genesis st100 to power it with.
Image Dynamics, which one?

Organising your MP3s by
Jim Murray
Got all my albums encoded to MP3 ready for burning, around 80 at the moment,
all at 160K, should get around 14 on a single CD.
Bit of a crazy question but does anyone have any innovative ideas for
organising your music per CD? I was thinking of doing it by artist name,
using one CD for each letter of the alphabet, that way giving room to add
more tracks later.
Really want a way of finding it...
