Opinions please on Clarion SRV303 Subwoofer? by
Brian Jennings
Is it any good to add to the standard system on my 306 to give a bit more
bass?
I don't want to give up any boot space, and I can't afford a custom build
box etc.
I do not want ear bursting levels of bass, just a pleasant bass to pop,
light rock, and classical while driving.
Oh, and does anyone know if it will fit under the seat in my 306?

Nokia hands-free problem by
Jim Murray
I recently swapped an old Philips CAR400 radio/cassette for a Kenwood
CD/tuner and it works fine, *but* when I use the phone, the audio mutes OK
but the phone output doesn't play through the speakers. Standard Nokia
hands-free kit is fitted and it worked fine before with the old
radio/cassette installed. Any ideas?
Jim.

Astra Sound System Setup. by
Gav
I have a 2002 astra which has a mid range and tweeter in all four of the
doors. Next year I'm planning to buy an MP3 player the equivalent to the
Alpine 9815 (only reason I have not bought one of these already is because I
heard there is still a delay beween mp3 tracks, hoping this will not be the
case in next years model). Anyway I don't want to modify the car too much so
was wondering how easy...

Head Unit - CD Changer Compatability by
Mehmet Sanliol
I have a Sony MDX-CA680X head unit and an Alpine CD changer. The connections
are physically different but are there any adaptors that allow a Sony head
unit to run an Alpine CD changer? My whole sound system is amped so will it
be the amp or the head unit which determines the quality of the CDs being
played from the CD changer?
Thanks

dumb newbie questions by
John Redman
Is there an FAQ for this group? If not, I have some pretty basic
questions which maybe some of you can help me with.
I'm having a classic car restored and I want to kit it out with a
reasonable stereo. It has a space for a centre dashboard speaker,
which was all it had when new. I plan on putting 2 speakers in the
rear. If they're really small, i.e. small enough to fit inside a 50mm
eyeball...

FM Modulator Qs by
Mark \(UK\)
Hi all,
I have bought an FM modulator for my car radio (the type that plugs into the
radio's aerial socket, not the mini transmitter type) so I can use my MD in
the car. I am going to install it this weekend but have a few questions.
Will the unit block all incoming signals from the car aerial when powered
up? If so I presume I need to wire a switch to turn the modulator off when I
want to...

Radio wiring - HELP!! by
BrownLF
In trying to fit my Nokia phone kit to my Galaxy I cut into the red/brown wire
that provides an ignition switched supply to the radio. This was wired into a
relay to switch the radio off when the phone rings in accordance with the Nokia
instructions. So far so good but then I forgot to cover an unused spade on the
relay and that 12v supply momentarily shorted to the radio case. Now the...

JVC KDS641, any good? by
Colin Swan
I need to get a new head unit for my Smart car following the death of
the original CD changer. I am looking at the unit mentioned in the
subject and wanted to know opinions, bearing in mind that I don't want
to spend much :-)
Also, I have the Smart sound upgrade installed, which involves better
speakers with enclosures in the dash, and a pair of tweeters on top of
the dash. The head unit is then...

FS: Vibe 12inch CBRA120 Sub by
Benje
Selling because I'm getting a new car! Ok its a Vibe 12inch Active Sub (I
think thats what its called) Basically its plug and play, No messing about
making boxes etc. It all ready to go. This is very loud and sounds extremely
good. Its rated at 700Watts peak, So I'd say thats about 250 - 300Wrms
(someone correct me if I'm wrong) in real terms. I'm selling the amplifier
wiring kit with it as well,...

Are these things any good??
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3046639719&category=14946
lots of these sort of things on eBay that seem to cheap to be any good.
Anyone have any experience with them, what do I need to look for when
getting one? Has to have TV tuner built in, not just a screen.
Thanks

MP3 Head Unit Opinions by
H
I'm about to replace my trusty Sony MDX7900R head unit.
Vehicle is a Land Rover Discovery (with sub in rear door), budget is £300.
I already have a Sony head unit with the remote control stick (connects via
a 3mm jack plug), so something Sony that could re-use the stick would be a
bonus.
Could you guys recommend an MP3 compatible head unit? I've been looking at
caraudiodorect.co.uk for specs...
