Radar Detectors by
v155
Hi James,
Yes they do work as in detecting microwave signals, I have the exact same
unit. It does well detecting every set of traffic lights and also shop
doorways! That's even in the mode that is meant to stop this happening.
The Laser detection does NOT work on this unit as I decided to drive past a
laser trap a few times on the A41. Fortunately I was doing 35 in a 40mph
zone at the time. ...

Frequency step changes on a Sony MPX 40 from US to European by
Hans
Hi
I have a sony mpx 40, MP3 headunit.
I bought it in the US, but I need to change the frequency tuning to the
European standard.
I know this modification can be done. Im looking for technical instructions
on how to do this. I'm guessing it's a matter of changing somthing on the
freuquency tuner IC.

Please give comments on this one if you have experience of it.
I'm considering this headunit for my VW Passat. Can anyone give me an
indication of how secure this unit is? - i know you can't remove the
faceplate, but that it is coded. (i currently don't have an alarm -
would i be stupid not to get one as well?).
Also, if anyone has this unit - how do you find the active black panel

mstation/fuse problem by

I'm trying to connect my mstation to my car. I've found a good earth and
power supply which have been checked using a neon light. My problem is that
my 5amp fuse keeps blowing everytime the circuit is complete.
Its a long time since i had this unit in my car so all i can think is at
some point i've put the wrong type of fuse in e.g possibly there should be a
10amp fuse in there.
Can anyone else...

Vibe CBR 12 Opinions by
Nona
Does anyone have any views or opinions of the Vibe CBR 12 active enclosure?
I'm considering getting one, mainly for the ease of them, but a decent sound
is important to me. I've never heard the sound of one of these, nor heard
anything about them, so any feedback is much appreciated.
Many thanks in advance.

****e sony head unit by

I must admit I'm not really hot on car audio, I just like to have reasonable
quality sound and a good selection of music in my car. I had a Sony CDX-MP30
which I removed from my previous car before selling it. The new car came
with a Vauxhall CDR500 which is made by Delco. The sound quaility of this
unit is very good, so I didn't initially bother fitting the Sony.
Today I decided i'd had enough...

Fitting a JVC radio in a Fiat Ducato by
Eric Rein
I recently purchased a Hymer based on a Fiat Ducato 18 chassis that had the
radio prepartion extra included. I also bought a new JVC radio.
Behind the dash is an ISO connector that fits the radio but the connections
are different. Does anyone know if an adaptor is available or do I need to
rewire the ISO connector. Does anyone know what the connections on the Fiat
ISO connector are?
