Where can I buy bits for making my own interconnects by Fleetie
"Graham Holloway" Try RS Components. Ring them on 01536 201 201 and ask for a catalogue/CD. Best regards Graham Holloway IMO, there are some things that can't easily be replaced by electronics for optimal ergonomics.

FS: Michel Focus c/w Linn Basik arm by David Holgate
The message from "Cornucopia" contains these words: For Sale: Michel Focus One vinyl deck fitted with a Linn Basik arm & cartridge. I have owned this since new and it has had very light use, so it's in very good condition throughout. Very happy to demonstrate if you like - I live near Dunstable, Bedfordshire.

Where can I obtain reversible electrolytics for speaker xover replacements by Old Fart at Play
Bob Latham wrote: My KEF speakers from 1978 are in need of having their capacitors replaced. They are reversible electrolytics made by Elcap.... Why don't you just buy a pair of new crossovers from Wilmslow Audio? They make one specifically for the B139/T110/T27 combination. Roger.

Ref the RFD for uk.rec.audio.vinyl by Mike Rew
Kurt Hamster wrote in news:rUmdnUTxy7rO- : As has been shown in several threads over the last couple of days there is a need to separate vinyl discussions from the mainstream audio group. Where can I buy bits for making my own interconnects by Dave Plowman
In article , Jim wrote: Is there somewhere I can buy, say, 10m of decent quality interconnect cable and a variety of plugs (rca, jack plugs, scart, s-vid amongst others) plus get the pin-out diagrams showing what to solder to what? I'd prefer an online shop, since I live in a small town. Maplin is the obvious one.

Gyrodec questions by Graeme Nattress
Hi, I have an original GyroDec (serial number 004 to be precise) and I payed £500 for it - it came with a Fidelity Research FR64fx tonearm (+original box & instructions) and a decent MM cart. So I'd say that the price you've been quoted is way out of line and way too expensive. As for the arm, go heavy! Graeme

Equipment Stands - Any Sensibly Priced Options? by Hans van Dongen

Hi - I've followed the raging debate on uk.rec.audio and would just like to add my support for the vinyl newsgroup. At last a haven where I'm not told (told mind) digital is better. Marvellous. Hope it goes through and thanks to all those who put in the effort. Rob (remove getridofthis to reply)
