Nuendo w/ Eiderol Orchestral by
When I use nuendo 1.61 with eiderol orchestal, notes frequently drop out. I know it's not my system, and the weird thing is that orchestral works fine with cubase sx, just not nuendo. Any suggestions?

Tonearm wire supplier in UK? by
David Holgate
Anybody know where I can buy five 1m strands of tonearm wire in the UK?
I'm not looking for an expensive rewire kit, just the fine wire between
the cartridge and the base of the tonearm.
TIA

Hello valve lovers, wherever you are. by

"No pentode, bipolar transistor, JFET, or MOSFET has ever approached the
distortion performance of mid-Thirties triodes. etc" and

transistors were designed for high-fidelity audio applications ... "
Umm - yes. Not my words of course. There is a variety of distortion testing of

Hello Kurt! Pretty good observation here. As below I guess?
The easiest way is to simply put a at the start of every quoted line
instead of at the end as you now do it.

Importing - is it worthwhile ? by

Now that I'm starting to upgarde to some hi-end (just) gear I am feeling the

Why do items that are manufactured in say China, or NZ, cost so much more

They have to be exported to both countries (e.g. from NZ to the US and the

ukrav group creation by
David Holgate
Just for the record, my ISP sent me the following message with regard to
ukrav:
***
The group creation message wasn't sent out correctly, or got lost. It
should appear the next time the UK Usenet Committee send out a
"checkgroups" message.
***
This might explain why others have had difficulty getting access to it.

Hello valve lovers, wherever you are. by

Modern BJTs do, indeed, approach Triodes in their distortion levels etc.
Constructive post - thanks, Trevor. I'll look into the devices you mention. As
I've pointed out a few times, I'm just quoting designer Lynn Olsen in these
posts, though of course I'm an enthusiastic valve user. Andy.
