AV speakers question. by The Old Fogey
Any opinions on the audibility of different crossover orders and frequencies when mixing speakers on a satellite system? My guess is that it makes little difference about the rear pair but that the centre and front speakers should be matched. Roger.

Alchemist HiFi Products by Joel
Greetings, I am building an Alchemist HiFi archive, with info on this departed manufacturer's products. No reason other than I own a few bits of their kit and like it, but couldn't find any relevant Internet resources. The site is at http://www.alchemisthifi.info and already contains some info on certain ranges. If anyone has any of Alchemist's early products, or has pictures, specs,

Remote transmitter for Rover OT by harrogate
"citizensband" wrote in message ... I know this is a little OT, however, I need to replace a lost remote central locking transmitter for my fathers Rover 115. recording a 3 way conversation in a room - PZM mic? by Yuri T.
A PZM should work fairly well for that situation. The closer you can get to the sound sources the better. One issue is that if you mount it to the table any mechanical noises on the table could be transmitted to the mic. If that's the case you could try the PZM on the cieling but that would put it further away. You might also pick up a fair amout of ambient sound such as HVAC etc. Ideally you...

Is Minidisc dead? by Mikeplusultra
Just read your need for 4 hours of DAT quality and new DAT deck prices. You should be using 4 hour data DAT tapes. I've been using data DAT tapes for the very purpose you need them (opera from radio). They're no different in quality for domestic purposes to audio DAT tapes and about half the price. You should be using data DAT anyway to keep the costs down. As for new decks, a perfectly...

Beomaster 7000 to PC by Patricia Cohen
Can anyone advise me how to connect my Beomaster 7000 to a PC using Roxio Easy CD Creator 6 to record from vinyl and cassette to CD? I've had all kinds of advice and "help" - nothing so far has worked. One friend thinks that the strange little plug in the Line In/Out socket must be where the connections go - tried that but then nothing in the Beomaster worked - so I replaced it. ...
