I was about to purchase the Beyerdynamic DT990 PRO (http://www.veronica.co.uk/dt990.htm). But noticed its impedance is 250 ohms and my sound card's manual (Creative Live 5.1 Digital) says 32ohm for the OUT socket. Q: Will it sound very bad with a low volume and hence definitely require a headphone-amp?

Hi, I am thinking of buying an old A&R A60 amplifier but it is an early model with 2-pin DIN speaker output sockets. The speaker cable I would use it with is Gale XL315: whilst getting hold of male 2-pin DIN plugs isn't difficult, I very much doubt they would be big enough to take cable of that thickness. Are there any 2-pin DIN plugs about that can take thick cable?
