Behringer Tube Ultragain Mic200 by
Peter Hewitt-Dutton
Now, I'm not going on about Behringer stuff, but I've just come accross the
Ultragain Mic200.
Anyone got one, any good? Can't find any reviews on the net, but for £35 it
can't be bad!
Cheers
Pete.

Behringer ADA8000 by
Peter Hewitt-Dutton
Has anyone got or used the Behringer ADA8000? I have a Pro Tools LE system
based on a Digi001 interface. What I want to know is how the mic pre's and
A/D converters in the Behringer compare to the ones in the Digi001?
If anyone can give me any info it would be much appreciated. One of these
would be perfect for me, if it's any good!
Cheers
Pete.

Nautilus-style midrange cab by
Wally
I've been giving some further thought to The Great Speaker Rebuild Fantasy
and I'm presently looking into a Nautilus-style enclosure for the KEF B110
bass/mid drivers. To be clear as to what I mean, this would be a straight
pipe with a reducing internal diameter, the reduction being non-linear. My
current sketch has a start diameter of 180mm, 40mm at the small end, and is
400mm long.
I calculate...

FS: Tuners by
just me
I'm moving home and selling the following:
NAD C414 TUNER -
One of the best of a highly rated series of tuners, with superb FM
sensitivity, IF bandwidth control, manual tuning knob for manual/auto
scanning & a large display with RDS info. Includes original instruction
manual and has one of the most open and well-balanced performances I've
heard from a £300 tuner.
Condition: excellent, with a...

FS: Mission 752s anyone? by
Keith G
I'm auditioning some speakers at the moment including a pair of very nice
Mission 752s in black ash.
It's on the cards they will be going back to the shop unless anyone here
wants them. They are highly sort after and don't turn up every day - be a
pity to let them go if anyone wanted them. (I know of at least one person
here looking for a bit more bass.....)
They are marked up at £299 but could...

2nd. TV by
Len
Hi,
Could someone advise me on how to get my cable network to my parents granny
flat.
We have Sky T.V. connected to our VCR and then to our main TV.
Tried taking a co-ax RF output but guess run must have been too long.
(Works O.K. if I bring their set alongside)
Next tried a Wireless Video Sender. Generally works O.K. but often there is
interference etc.

Yamaha DSP-A1 - What's the AC outlet connector? by
Peter Crighton
I'd like to use the AC outlet of my DSP-A1 to power some of my hifi -
but what is the connector used on it? It's rectangular with two pins,
but doesn't seem to be US style.
Can anyone confirm the type (and hopefully a source of plugs as well!)

Audio Problems with Sony CDX-656 Changer and VW Gamma HU by
AndyC
Hi all,
I've just added a Sony CDX-656 10 pack CD auto-changer to a UK spec.
Passat using a Connects2 VW - Sony adaptor. The HU is an older Phillips
Gamma 4 (Gamma under volume control). Adaptor is AVGS005. All works fine,
but I can only get it to work correctly with both phono connections half
out (center pin only connecting).
If I push both phono connectors fully into the Connect2 adaptor...

Knob-twiddling by
Triffid
Old 8-track reel-to-reel decks are 10 a penny on eBay atm. Strikes me that
these are one of the few ways of recording yer cutting edge techo 7.1 AV
productions.
Trouble is, it also strikes me that there's no earthly point in doing this.
Doesn't stop me wanting to though. I just yearn for the days of physical,
rather than virtual knob-twiddling.

Commercial audio codec conversion specialist req'd by
Roger
Hi
I am carrying out some research work into the viability of automatic
conversion of audio (various formats) into a range of codecs.
I am searching for (partly bespoke) software that can produce
professional quality conversions using a range of (user definied)
sampling rates.
I would like to talk to people or companies who carry out this type of

Whacky driver mystery..... by
Keith G
I am in a maelstrom of kit-shifting (and now computer-cleaning, it seems!)
and have finally got round to trying an old pair of homemade standmounters
that have dwelt in the 'speaker heap', in my garage, for the last couple of
years.
I've put 'em on and they sound quite amazing! (I'm cautiously thinking they
might be the perfect solution to my current problems with terrible room
acoustics - bass...
