Mains hum pickup on a Pink Triangle deck by
Richard Markham
I have a Pink Triangle record deck with a Rega RB300 arm and Rega
cartridge.
I noticed in the past that there was mains pickup when the arm gets too
near the motor - i.e. nearer to the centre of the record.
Now I have mounted the deck above my CD player, it's picking up hum from
there also.
Can I fix this with some earthing arrangement, or does the deck just

Quad 66 PreAmp aux power by
db
I am anxious not to burn out the relay that switches power to other
equipment by loading it with a valve power amp.
Can anyone recommend the source of a mains contactor that will switch on and
off a few amperes whilst drawing only minimal current?
UK based so 230v working required.

is an excellent piece of kit and sounds very, very good indeed.

the DAC work is there any point in having anything other than the most

Looking for a JBL DX-1 external crossover kit to suit JBL XPL-200 speakers.
The DX-1 was originally released with input/output (high/low) frequency

Question about Decca C4E phone cartridge by
Gordon
Can anyone provide me with specifications or information on the Decca C4E.
Is it a moving coil type? I have one that I'm going to sell. It appears to
be unused, as there is no visible wear @ X20 microscope magnification.
