If so, and you live near Wakefield, W Yorks, can you hear Bridlington on

I suspect though that you will have a problem with adjacent channel QRM.
Ta.
(Interestingly, I wonder how far west Bridlington can be picked up).

Tivoli Model Two by
Mike Gilmour
Our 20 years old kitchen tranny finally gave up the ghost so its now headed
for the parts box in the sky. I went out on a limb took a chance & ordered
the Tivoli Model 2 radio (without ever hearing it..very unlike me that) it
arrived a couple of days ago. The sound quality is far better than I'd
expected, the build quality excels as far as I can see/feel. The controls
have a solid & silky...

Service for Pink Triangle Decapo by
Richard Wall
With the demise of Pink Triangle I am trying to find out if anyone has yet
stepped out of the remains to offer service/repair of Decapo DACs ? A
friend of mine blew his up and his local dealer already has 6 DACs awaiting
someone to fix them.
Thanks Richard

Pro-ject RPM4 ... comments please by
Gerard McGovern
Hi,
Looking to get a turntable for my dad for Christmas. He has a fairly
extensive record collection and it would be nice for him to have something
to play them on.
Looked around come up with a Pro-ject RPM4. For the money, is this a good
purchase?
Thanks in advance,

Dedicated CD recorder - worth buying or not? by
Gary B
I currently use my pc to copy the occasional cd borrowed from friends/ the
library - using the cd burner on my pc.
However, it's suddenly occurred to me that there must be a reason why people
invest in a dedicated digital recorder like the Sony rcd w3 (c £200 - what
hi fi 5 star review..)?
So - I assume its because it produces copies that sound much better than
what I produce using my £40 cd...

Lecson Preamp & Amp? by
Gordon Pratt
Has anyone in the UK heard of Lecson Preamps & Amplifiers? I have two
preamps and a 100watt/ch cylindrical Amplifier. Is there any market for them
in the UK? They were shown briefly in the movie "Clockwork Orange".

OT - A question for the valve experts. by
Dave Plowman
I collect old test gear as a hobby, and like to have it working too. I
recently bought a 110v valve sig gen in very nice condition and it works
fine off a 110 supply.
Looking inside - as you do - I noticed that the transformer primary was
two windings in parallel. This, of course, is common these days - parallel
operation for 115 volts and series for 230.
So I removed the transformer, and...

Audiolab 8000q gain control by
Darren S
Hi
Just upgraded to an Audiolab 8000q for my x2 8000p (from an 8000s)
the 8000q has a gain control from 0 to 15dB in 3dBincrements and as
I'm not that technically minded can anyone advise me on the
appropriate gain setting?
Thought I'd ask here before I started fiddling.

Troubleshooting: amplifier Musical Fidelity A1 by
Sala Massimo
Hi
I am the happy owner of one A1 amplifier, bought in 1991.
It is 20 Watt class A amplifier, build around MOSFET.
In the last months the A1 started to malfunction, the volume knob works very
bad: when I turn the knob I hear strange noise ("shhh shhh" as there is sand
inside the knob, and also some "crack") and the volume output isn't in
accordance with the knob position.
