Compact turntable by DD5
I would like to get a compact turntable to plug into my Sony midi system. I haven't got much space so I'd like one which is actually smaller than an LP (I think I've seen them like that). Could anyone recommend one to me. I'm happy with the cheapest possible. Thanks.

Ariston RD-40 PSU by Lee35210
I need the output voltage of the PSU for a RD-40 with Dc motor mod, I'm dusting off the TT to do a bit of "archiving" and can't find the PSU. I love my TT and hate to see it's lifeless beauty go to waste. Thanks, Lee

Quad 11Ls by just me
"Virgil" wrote in message ... I live in the belly of the beast (Washington, DC) and just purchased a pair of Quad 11Ls for the very low price of $400 (they were demos). I'm also in the market for a receiver (no seperates until I buy a house). Quad is somewhat rare in the US and I figure you may have more...

DVD-Audio by Tim S Kemp
OK, I have a DVD writer in my PC, and a DVD-Audio player. Can I make a compilation of multiple CDs at full 16bit/44k onto one DVD-R for convenience? Unfortunately, the player won't play MP3 on DVD so the alternative is MP3 or WMA on CD which is fine, but seems like a bit of a waste...

Memory lane - Larson Pyramid Loudspeakers by John Settle
In the mid 1970's when omni-directional loudspeakers were being touted as the ' hi-fidelity sound ', Sonab produced their Omni series from model 1 through to 6. However, another Scandinavian manufacturer came on the scene and produced the Larson ( or was it Larsen) Pyramid design of loudspeaker. Riduculous and probably sad as well, I've been racking the ever decreasing grey cells regarding their...

Etymotic ER6 by Olly Aitch
I thought I'd post my first thoughts on the Etymotic ER6 "headphones" I've just bought. If you can stand something in your ear canal (and I'm used to wearing earplugs so it's okay for me) these are superb. Better than my Grado SR60's and because they isolate (15dB?) from external sounds they're great for a noisy environment. I got them for train and air travel - superb! £88 inc shipping.

Getting back into HiFi.... by Richard Markham
The last time I bought any hi-fi was about 15 years ago, a Pink Triangle deck with an RB300 arm and a Rega cartridge. I had a Cyrus 1 amp and Celestion DL8 speakers, which are still going strong. A few years back, I gave in to the dreaded silver disks and got a really cheap player. I'm now looking at a new amp. cd player and speakers.

Audio recorder with 1 sec buffer ? by Andy12437
Thanks for the help on my last question (Audio recording software). In addition to that, i have just come up with another problem. By the time i realise i should have clicked to start recording, a second has passed. So is there any audio recording software out there which will allow me to have, say a half second (or 1 second) buffer, so that when i press to record, it automatically records the...

DAB reception by Kerry Hoskin
grrrrrrrrrrr bloody grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. After finding out that our main transmitter (Caradon Hill in sunny Cornwall) has now started broadcasting DAB, as off mid december, I went out a got a DAB radio today. I did have some nagging doubts in the back of my mind that I still wouldn't be able to get a signal in my village (polperro), and surprise, surprise I can't! The reason, the village is on...

Trouble with CD players by Frank
Hi folks, I'm having no luck at all with CD players. I wondered if someone could hazard a guess as to what the problem is. I have 3 CD players (all cheap). When I buy a new CD, I can often get it to play on one machine but not another. The machine that won't play the CD typically makes a faint clicking noise, but won't start playing. I have some new CDs that won't play on any of the...
