How to "save" BBC radio listen again programs? by
[email protected]
This is an old chestnut to some of us seasoned lurkers and internet
junkies.
Here we go...
You can download a programme called Total Recorder, for free.
Search Google to find it.
Install it, its quite safe. The default set up will record any sound on
your computer.
(You have to change the setting if you are sending the sound via a line
in ur usb device)

Follow-up to DVD headphones post by
Sky-Catcher
Hi,
Thanks for the replies to my previous post regarding wanting to connect
headphones to a dvd players audio out for listening to audio books.
I got the parts I needed from Maplin (a L/R phono to mini 3.5m jack plus a
coupler jack) for about £3.00.
I've tried it out on the 2 dvd players we have and the sound level & quality
were both great. I attached a pair of headphones that had their...

Quad erat demonstrandum by
Derrick Fawsitt
I could not resist using the above title for my query. I have recently
purchased all Quad equipment, i.e. 99 CD player, pre-amp and 909
amplifier.
Up to now I have been using B and W Speakers but have now bought a
second hand pair of Quad ESL 63's which are also owned by a friend of
mine who raves about them.
Having got used to the different sound of them, especially in my first
love,...

Cordless headphones with separate receiver pack by
Egremont
I read somewhere in here that it might be possible to get 2-part "cordless
headphones", viz comprising a carry-round receiver pack which you can plug
your favourite headphones into. If these are indeed available does anyone
know where?.
Thanks,
Egremont

How to "save" BBC radio listen again programs? by

I would like to download some radio shows from the BBC, using their
"listen again feature". They only seem to allow you to listen to it
but not save it. I would like to save it so I can transfer it and
listen to the recordings whilst on the move. Converting it to MP3
format the best idea?
How ...

speaker to line/stereo to mono etc by
Mark R Penn
I posted a while ago and got some great advice, but now the goalposts have
moved!
The set up I'm aiming for is:
I'm trying to share one subwoofer between two amps, one stereo for music,
one 5:1 for films. It's an active subwoofer with only a mono line level
input, and no controls beyond on/off and volume. The 5:1 amp has a line
level subwoofer output so that's fine, and once I've achieved a...

Renault cd changer unit by
Amanda Lewis
Hi there,
I have just bought (via ebay) a standard Renault cd changer unit (made by
Alpine) that was taken from a 2003 Clio.
A was hoping to fit it to the head unit for my T reg 1999 Megane Scenic.
Unfortunately the lead that arrived with the changer has a different head
unit connector then that required for my standard radio/cassette head unit
(Phillips / Radiosat 6010 model 22dc461.)

Pioneer Dynamic Processor by
Oddjob
Hello everyone, I have just acquired an RG-9 Dynamic Processor.
Does anybody know what year this unit dates from?
I think it's for expanding tape recordings but I was thinking it could be
useful for MP3 playback as they are also compressed.
Anybody shed any light on this unit?
many thanks

what to connect audio out from dvd player to headphones by
Sky-Catcher
Hi,
Topic says it all really! I was looking for a dvd player (cheap) to play
audio dvds (books) in mp3 format but can't find a cheap one with a headphone
socket so I was thinking that I couls connect the l/r audio out sockets
(available on most dvd players) to a pair of headphones - would this work?
If so where could I get the bits to make the connections.
