FS: Seismic Sink / Base 01 / Atacama SE28’s by CP
Got some support gear for sale. No longer needed, and all rare on the s/h market. Townshend Audio Seismic Sink. Among the best and most esoteric of the isolation platforms, size 43x33cm, maximum supported weight 15Kg. Excellent condition. Plus metal slab to balance it, and pump to inflate it (both reasonable condition). I think you can also fit spikes (not supplied) to this in the rubber feet,...

bit rate challenge by Pete Cross
Can any of you produce a clean sounding mp3 of a swept frequency test cd ? the source has to be a commercial cd with a sweep freq track on it. I suspect not, I played a test cd in a portable cd player with it's anti jog feature enabled, it sounded dreadfull but music cds still sounded ok. nb the anti jog spins the cd twice it's normal speed and reads ahead into a buffer to give it time to recover...

Opamp man: audio device overlap by Andre Jute
Iain Churches wrote: "Stewart Pinkerton" wrote in message ... Actually, of course, KISASS is extremely simple - that being the whole point of the exercise. Thank you, oh my brothers by Andre Jute
Recent talk on RAT and the sister conferences has inspired me. I was about to say, ****it, putting down a weed like Krueger (or Pinkerton, or Wieck, or whoever) is a waste of time. Another always springs up. But there are people out there who still genuinely listen to music, and are willing to skin their knuckles to build really good gear to listen to it. But never mind their gear, what...

Arnii is whining again ;-) by George M. Middius
The Krooborg is moaning and groaning again. Are its enemies gathering to unleash another assault of logic and reason on the Beast's citadel of insanity? Did it get busted again for trafficking in kiddie porn? Was it banned from yet another online forum? Maybe none of the above. Maybe the Kroobitch is icing it out again, impelling it to think its impure thoughts about back alleys and perforated...

CD recorders by Jim Lesurf
I'd like to buy an audio CD recorder. I already have a Pioneer PDR509 and was thinking of a PDR609. However it seems this is no longer available. So can anyone suggest an alternative that is still on sale? (Or is the PDR609 still around?) Having had a search on the web I have the impression that Marantz, Sony, Yamaha, and Denon may do CD recorders. However the models I've found details of are...

Horns, the truth, from an owner by Andre Jute
Yo, Keith, this might interest you and your friends as well. You are invited because at our recent Chinese theme party you were so well behaved... And we discovered a lotta tubies hiding out among the ukrainians. AJ Andre Jute wrote: In horns, as in everything in life, you get what you pay for. Nowhere is this better illustrated than in the current thread "Horns are bad", in which some...
