Audio Innovations S200 Pre-Amp by
John J. Frake
Does anyone out there have a copy of the circuit diagram or handbook for the
above they are either willing to part with or copy for me? I am willing to
pay reasonable expenses for copying fees or postage. Apologies if this is
not considered the right forum for this sort of message.

Looking for Ortofon cartridge for Dual turntable by
Paul Moore
Moving house recently, I damaged the Ortofon cartridge used in my old Dual
505 turntable. The cartridge type number is TKS49S, and the stylus used is a
Dual DN149S.
Can anyone tell me how I can find a replacement cartridge. The turntable is
about 20 years old, so it's no great shakes if I have to throw it out, but
it's such a good turntable, so if the catrridge is the cheaper option, then
why

Quad Amplification - Problems With Volume Settings by
kake
I am using Quad 34 & 606 II amplification with a Marantz CD40, Denon TU260L,
and Epos ES11 speakers. While I am happy with the performance of the
amplification, I am having problems with the volume settings. Most of my
listening is done with the volume control set at 1 or 2, and with some newer
recordings, which seem to be recorded at ever higher levels, 1 is too loud.
The CD input is the...

I'm not normally given to 'virus panic' but there does seem to be a real one

Tivoli - PAL -vs- Model One - Opinions please by
Nozza
I would be interested to read peoples' opinions on the Tivoli PAL
versus Tivoli Model 1
Does the PAL sound as good as the Model 1?
Does the UK model 1 still suffer from the mains hum? And does the PAL
also suffer from this?
I have heard the model 1 and was impressed in the shop - but how does
the PAL compare?

Does anybody know how to fix this?
The MM/MC light works but all others fail.
I don't think all can have blown and I can't see a fuse to check.
All input much appreciated.
Er, mine's (96 model) only got the mm/mc...

Size DOES matter! by
Stimpy
I'm currently running a venerable but much loved Cyrus 2 amp and
equally ancient KEF Carlton 3 speakers. However the time has come to
replace my knackered Marantz CD player and I'm looking for
inspiration. I've got around £500 in the budget BUT (and this is a
big but) for boring architectural reasons, the CD player has to fit
into a space 10 inches deep (i.e. front to back)
Anyone got any...

Sure is a good choice. It's often what the cops use for interview rooms.
And it sounds crap. Trust me. I've tried it for broadcast in a real room

Interview rooms are also usually pretty dead and quiet. I doubt the OP's

Tannoy speaker advice/opinion please. by
John Fryatt
I current have a pair of Tannoy M20 speakers, on some heavy Target stands,
which sound pretty good to me. A while ago, I also had a pair of Tannoy R1s,
which also seemed pretty good, although possibly not as good as the M20s, or
maybe just a little less well off in the bass dept. being smaller perhaps?
The comparison isn't too objective though, as the M20s were on heavy steel
stands, spiked to...
