High end cable? by

The technical speak appears similar to that of high end
cable manufacturers - so we are not alone!

Mission 773 / M74 Speakers by
Ian
Hi
I see that current best prices for Mission 773 and M74i speakers are both
around £200-£220.
Which are most recent? Did the M series replace the 7 series, or the other
way round?
Which would be the best buy? Or are they so different that it depends on
the rest of the system, personal preference etc?
Thanks
Ian

What would be a decent upgrade? I use Sony separates (MD,

Sony themselves used to make some excellent high end...

Panasonic Mini Systems by
Graeme
Hi
I've just been thinking about getting my son an inexpensive (£100) system,
and found a reasonably good deal on a Panasonic SC-AK300 (5 CD, Twin tape,
Digital tuner, £117). My question is, does this fit in between the SC-AK210
and SC-AK410, or is it a discontinued and inferior model?
What other low-end systems are worthy of consideration? He really want
something like his sister's, i.e. two...

Home Cinema Products on eBay by
Brian Beattie
After twenty years retailing computer equipment and latterly home cinema
products, the shop lease has come to an end and I have reluctantly decided
not to renew it. I'm not sure retirement will suit me, but there you have
it. I have cleared all the the computer stock locally, but considerable
stock remains from the AV department. I offer some items now to show the
variety, and will be offering...

Recording Sound in XP by
Tom
Hi group,
First of all, apologies if I have posted to an NG which may deem this topic
OT, although I sort of can see a way in for it in each I have posted !
Anyway just a simple question,
other than the windows volume controls and those supplied by your sound
card, is there a little program which will allow me to quickly select which
"record source" I wish to use? I am frequently changing...

WBT Spades and plugs worth having by
Dave xxxxxxxxx
Treated my main system to WBT spades and plugs bought them from a company i
found on the web http://www.audiovenue.co.uk/homeaudio.asp
Next day delivery, very nice to talk to. The build quality of the stuff in
my mind is worth paying for.
The locking system of the banana plugs is very strong, better even than the
QED Air locks.

Advice wanted on which of three speakers sets have the best sound by
John Stringer

I have a Marantz PM-66SE amp that is currently plugged into a pair of
Mission 760i speakers. I also have a pair of Goodmans Maxim 2 and
Wharfedale Denton 2 speakers (just got hold of these). I'm looking for
some general advice on which of the speakers is the best and also
whether I should really consider investing in some new speakers (they
need to be book shelf size).
Thanks in advance for...

Sennheiser headphones advice please? by
Paul
"John Fryatt" wrote in message
...
Hi,
Could anyone with experience of Sennheiser headphones please advise me
about
HD565 and HD580 models.
Apparently the 580s are very good, as are the 565s. So, how do they
compare?
Are 580s better than 565s? Is the difference very much?
