I recently came into an older pair of Heybrook HB2 loudspeakers for a second system. These are apparently different from the current HB2, having bextrene cone woofers. Each has one rear port and around the edge of this port appears to be some residual foam that was apparently glued there. My question is: Did this model in its original form have a foam plug or other resistive loading (aperiodic)...

Hi, I've got some old speakers built using transmission line principles which generate a reasonable volume but I'm feeling that the amplifier is not quite letting some of that 'low down' gutsy bass through to the speakers, and that some sort of sub-sonic filter is to blame. Can't be lack of power - these speakers are efficient at low volume settings. I'm pleased with the performance...

Why not take your speakers to where you are buying the mini system ? Mini systems are not usually the best solution to high quality however as the most compromised part will be the speakers you are better to keep speakers you like. Anyone know of Wharfedale Delta 2 speakers? Could be Delta II or Delta 11. All I know is that they're floor-standers, with three or four drive units. How do they rate? When did they come out? What would a used pair be worth?

Got me one o' they Behringer DSP1124 parametric EQ wossnames today. Connected it between the active crossover and the bass amp, and did some preliminary tweaking. Since it's only being used to EQ the bass, I set the 12 filters to the lowest sequence of default frequencies: 20, 25, 32, 40, 50, 63, 80, 100, 125, 160, 200, 250. This was handy, as it just so happens that the bass/mid crossover point...
