Hi, has anyone used the NAD iPod dock and have any opinions on it? I believe you can navigate the iPod via the output to the TV, but I cannot find any pictures of what the onscreen display would look like. If anyone has any photos or anything could you please let me know? Thanks, Neil

I'm not convinced that the DAC/analogue amplifier in my Mac Mini is all it might be - the sound, while not unpleasant, appears to be rather dull, at least compared to the DAC of an AV amplifier when fed the optical output. I've recently been offered an Akai GX 7070 amplifier. Seller doesn't know a whole lot about it, except bought in late 80s, early 90s. Does anyone know anything about this amp, its watts rms etc. Is it worth having? Thanks.

Hello, Anyone know how to do this?! Say you have an audio clip of 40 random notes in the scale of C lasting 90 seconds and middle C is played just 3 times in this clip. The user clicks a button when they think they have head middle C. How can you tell if they were right?!

Can anyone recommend a replacement damper fluid for the trough on a SME III, used with an ATOC9 MC cartridge? It's completely evaporated/spilled from one I've just bought. The Sennheiser CX300 may be considered disposable at today's prices but there should be a way to clean them. No matter how clean you keep your ears, the wire mesh over the diaphragm still gets clogged with wax. Any ideas on cleaning? What's the melting point? -- Eiron.

I've been intending to buy a new CD/SACD player for a while. Now that all the shops want to sell blu-ray they seem to be flogging some high end DVD machines very cheaply. the Yamaha S2700 has gone down from £1000 to £300 in a few months.
