Hi, I am planning to buy a CD player Jolida JD 100. I have noticed that some dealers upgrade these CD players into performance stage 1, 2 and 3. Has anybody tested the CD player with these enhancements? Is it worth spending more money to get the upgraded version?

OK, I asked a previous question earlier about whether I can connect 3.5mm minijack output on my PC soundcard to my hi-fi speaker. The answer was that it wasn't recommended - thanks to those that answered. Therefore I'd like to know of another way of connecting my hi-fi speakers to my PC. I have one of these midi hifi systems. It's pretty good, but the ribbon cable has blown. This is the part that enables the 7-CD changer to move and operate across more than one CD. I got these Nady model 250 50/50w biamped near field monitors. They sound very muddy to me. If I EQ down the base up to 160hz and raise up the treble, they sound better.
